PALAWAN

Officially known as the Province of Palawan (Cuyonon: Probinsya i'ang Palawan; Tagalog: Lalawigan ng Palawan), Palawan is an archipelagic province of the Philippines situated in the Mimaropa area. Its overall area of 14,649.73 km2 (5,656.29 sq mi) makes it the largest province in the nation. Puerto Princesa, the province's capital and largest city, is physically part of it but is run separately. Palawan is referred to as the Best Island in the Philippines [4] and the Last Frontier in the Philippines [5].


Puerto Princesa is home to the provincial capitol of Palawan.
The islands of Palawan are located between Borneo in the southwest and Mindoro island in the northeast. It is situated between the Sulu Sea and the South China Sea. The province's largest island serves as its name.
