NORTHERN SAMAR

Northern Samar, officially known as the Province of Northern Samar (Waray: Amihanan Samar/Norte san Samar; Tagalog: Hilagang Samar), is a Philippine province that is situated in the Eastern Visayas. The province's most populated town, Catarman, which is situated in the northern part of the island of Samar, serves as its capital. The provinces of Samar and Eastern Samar form its southern border. The Samar Sea lies to the west, the Philippine Sea of the Pacific Ocean lies to the east, and Sorsogon lies to the northwest, across the San Bernardino Strait.
