LA UNION

Officially known as the Province of La Union (Ilocano: Probinsia ti La Union; Tagalog: Lalawigan ng La Union), La Union is a coastal province in the Philippines that is located in the Ilocos Region on the island of Luzon. The most populated city in La Union and the regional hub of the Ilocos Region is the provincial capital, the City of San Fernando.

La Union is situated 57 kilometers (35 miles) northwest of Baguio City and 273 kilometers (170 miles) north of Metro Manila. It is bounded to the north by Ilocos Sur, to the east by Benguet, and to the south by Pangasinan, with the South China Sea to the west. The total area of the province is 1,497.70 square kilometers, or 578.27 square miles.
