ILOCOS NORTE

The Philippines' Ilocos Region contains the province of Ilocos Norte, sometimes known as the Province of Ilocos Norte (Ilocano: Probinsia ti Ilocos Norte; Tagalog: Lalawigan ng Ilocos Norte). Situated in the northwest part of Luzon Island, it has borders with Ilocos Sur to the southwest, Cagayan and Apayao to the east, and Abra to the southeast. Ilocos Norte faces the Luzon Strait to the north and the South China Sea to the west. Laoag City, the province's most populated city, serves as its capital.
