AGUSAN DEL NORTE

The Philippines' Caraga area contains the province of Agusan del Norte, also known as the Province of Agusan del Norte (Cebuano: Amihanang Agusan; Butuanon: Probinsya hong Agusan del Norte; Tagalog: Lalawigan ng Hilagang Agusan, Lalawigan ng Agusan del Norte). With a number of government offices situated in the heavily populated city of Butuan, which is both its de facto capital and the main city and the regional hub of the Caraga Region, Cabadbaran serves as its de jure capital. Butuan Bay borders it on the northwest, followed by Surigao del Norte to the northeast, Surigao del Sur to the mid-east, Agusan del Sur to the southeast, and Misamis Oriental to the southwest.
